Celebrating 25 Years of Xbox: Community Designs, New Updates, FanFest Tour Dates, and More

Twenty-five years ago, Xbox set out with one goal: bring players together through the games and worlds they love. That same mission still shapes everything the brand does today.

To mark the milestone, Xbox is rolling out a fresh wave of anniversary content — new community-designed gamerpics, backgrounds, and themes, curated Xbox Game Pass collections, the complete FanFest Tour schedule with sweepstakes details, and more.

Community-Created Xbox Designs

Over the years, countless fans have shared their own Xbox-inspired artwork with the community, and the creativity on display has never stopped impressing the team. In honor of the 25th anniversary, Xbox has teamed up with two community creators, Klobrille and Ben Kenobi, to release a collection of gamerpics, backgrounds, and a dynamic theme built for Xbox consoles — made by the community, for the community, and live starting today.

The new designs capture what Xbox has always represented: the bond between players, creators, and the games that bring them together. To dig into the inspiration behind the artwork, follow Klobrille and Ben Kenobi directly.

Here’s how to grab the new designs for yourself:

  • Console — Gamerpic & Theme: Go to Settings › Profile › Customize profile, then pick your favorite.
  • Console — Dynamic background: Go to Settings › General › Personalization › My background › Dynamic background.
  • Xbox app on PC — Gamerpic: Open View Profile and tap the pencil icon over your current gamerpic.
  • Xbox app on PC — Theme: Open View Profile › Customize profile and select your Theme.

Got a design of your own inspired by these? Share it and tag @Xbox with #Xbox25 — the team would love to see it.

Xbox 25th Anniversary Badge

Starting today, anyone who signs into their Xbox account — on console, PC, or the Xbox mobile app — will automatically receive the Xbox 25th Anniversary profile badge, timed ahead of the brand’s official 25th anniversary on November 15.

The badge will remain available to claim through the end of 2026 and can be shown off on your profile.

Xbox Game Pass Collections

To honor 25 years of games, Xbox Game Pass is getting a specially curated set of collections spotlighting standout titles from the franchises that defined each generation of Xbox, available across console and/or PC.

Whether you’re revisiting old favorites or discovering them for the first time, the collections span from the original Xbox era all the way through Xbox 360, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S. Expect fan favorites like Fable Anniversary, Halo: The Master Chief Collection, Fallout 4, Psychonauts 2, and many more, all brought together as a tribute to Xbox’s 25-year history.
